DAEDALUS COMPONENTS is an independent supplier of Material, Technical and Logistical Services to the aerospace industry. These services include:

Material Services
We source parts, coordinate scrap replacement of major and critical components and can provide inventory management for our customers to support their operation. We are able to offer new, overhauled, serviceable or PMA parts for Turbine Engines and Aircrafts both civil and military.

 

Part supply

DC holds an inventory of frequently used parts. If not in our inventory we source parts on request of our customers to support their operation. Through our worldwide net of contacts we can offer new, overhauled, serviceable or PMA parts for Turbine Engines and Aircrafts. The engines we support include the CF6, CFM56, JT9D, JT8D, PW4000, V2500, RB211, PW100 and PT6 series. Besides the Aero engines we also support the industrial LM and RB211 series. The Aircraft we support include the full range of Airbus, Boeing, MD, Fokker and ATR Aircrafts.

Inventory management
We provide inventory management to the extend requested by our customers, ranging from the sale of individual parts on a one by one bases to full inventory management on consignment. Services include inventory analyses, evaluation, document review, warehousing, repair, sale, pack, ship and collect. It is our policy to listen to your requirements and to develop programs around your needs and towards your goals.

 

Scrap review

Daedalus Components also provides Material review of scrapped materials. With over 25 years of experience in component repair we know that parts are sometimes declared scrap due to the lack of knowledge of advanced repair techniques. We coordinate with our customers to have these parts repaired and reduce scrap replacement cost.

 

Technical Services
We support our customers to get the best quality repairs, against competitive prices and short turn around times. We assist in teardown of engine and remarket the components. We offer tailor made Engine Management Services for Fan Turbines, Turbo Prop Engines, APU’s and Industrial Turbines. We assist our customers in developing new repairs or in setting up standard repairs according to the Engine Manual.

 

Engine trend monitoring

Daedalus Components can provide engine trend monitoring on your engines by evaluating basic engine parameters (rough and smooth data) and overall engine performance:            

  • Cruise Trending
  • Takeoff Performance
  • EGT Margin and OATL
  • Oil Consumption Monitoring
  • Vibration Monitoring

                 

This way we will:

  • provide you early detectionof abnormal trend shifts, reducing unexpectd problems and unscheduled maintenance
  • propose the required Line Maintenance (troubleshooting) and/or shop visit actions to our customers
  • evaluate engine trend to plan maintenance and forecast removels (avoiding premature engine removals and shop visit costs)

 

Engine management
We have the capability to offer tailor made engine management services. Representing Total Engine Support with their excellent reputation in the mid and large fan turbine engines and Daedalus Components who can offer these services for the small turbine, turbo prop engines, APU's and industrial turbines we can serve a wide range of customers.

Engine teardown coordination
As an alternative to selling engines in a down sizing market segment it might be better to teardown the engine and remarket the components. Daedalus Components will gladly assist you to determine the best option and coordinate teardown and remarketing of the components.
 
Pré-purchase or lease inspections

Daedalus Components can perform pré- purchase and pré lease inspections to verify that the aircraft and engines you intend to buy or lease will meet our Customers minimum requirements.

 

Logistical Services
We are able to support our customers in remarketing their redundant inventory and other assets.

 

Inventory remarketing
Changing aircrafts means that you are often left with a large surplus inventory. Through our worldwide representation we are able to support you in remarketing your redundant inventory and other assets. We assist you in analyzing your inventory and to determine the most economic way to dispose of your surplus inventory.

 

Sales support
Working with representatives in 5 continents and relations with almost all major airlines, air forces and overhaul facilities in the world, Daedalus Components is able to provide full commercial marketing consultancy services.
